Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms apply to your use of pinstudio (the "Service"), operated by pinstudio ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What the Service does
pinstudio turns titles and photos into Pinterest-style images (1000 × 1500 px) that you can edit and download. It is a tool: you decide what to make and where to publish it.
2. Your account
You need an account to use the Service. Give us a correct email address, keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.
3. Plans, prices and billing
- Free trial: 3 days from the day you create your account, with up to 3 pins per day (and 3 titles at a time). No card is needed. When the trial ends you need a Pro plan to keep creating pins. We may change the trial in the future, but never for a trial already running.
- Pro plan: $2 per month, with unlimited titles and downloads. It is billed monthly in advance by our payment provider, Stripe, and renews automatically until you cancel. Taxes such as VAT may be added at checkout.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in Account → Manage subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- Refunds: payments are not refunded for a period already started, except where the law says otherwise. If something went wrong with a payment, contact us and we will look at it fairly.
- Price changes: if we change the price we will tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next renewal.
4. Photos and content you add
You keep all rights to your photos, titles and the pins you create. You promise that you have the right to use everything you add, including photos taken from a web page you link to. Photos on other websites usually belong to their owners: only use images you own, have a licence for, or have permission to use. You are responsible for how you use the pins you create, including on Pinterest.
You must not add content that is illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks this rule.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not overload, attack or try to break the Service, or access it by automated means other than the normal website.
- Do not try to get around limits, share your account to avoid paying, or resell the Service without our written permission.
- Do not use the link-fetching feature to access private or internal addresses.
6. The pins you create
The images you download are yours to use, including commercially, as long as you respect the rights of any photos you used in them. The designs, code and brand of the Service remain ours. The fonts used in the designs are open-licence fonts.
7. Temporary storage
To let you come back to your work, we keep your recent pins for 24 hours and uploaded or fetched photos for up to 48 hours, then delete them automatically. Download what you want to keep.
8. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the Service running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features. We will try to give notice of changes that matter.
9. Our responsibility
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for your statutory consumer rights.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Account → Delete my account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as 4, 9 and 11) continue after the account ends.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where pinstudio is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your own country. If we cannot settle a problem together, the courts of that country can decide it, unless the law gives you the right to go to your local courts.
