Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what personal data pinstudio ("we") collects when you use pinstudio, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
1. What we collect
- Account: your email address and your password (stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider, never readable by us).
- Plan and billing: whether you have a Pro plan, its status and renewal date, and your Stripe customer reference. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Your work: the titles, settings and previews of pins you make (kept 24 hours), and photos you upload or that are fetched from links you give us (kept up to 48 hours).
- Usage: a daily counter of pin downloads (to apply the free-plan limit) and technical server logs (such as IP address and time) to keep the Service secure and working.
2. Why we use it (legal basis)
- To provide the Service you asked for, including your account, your pins and your subscription (contract).
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems (legitimate interests).
- To keep accounting and tax records of payments (legal obligation).
We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not use tracking or analytics cookies.
3. Who handles your data
We use trusted providers to run the Service. They only process data on our behalf:
- Supabase for accounts and sign-in.
- Stripe for payments and invoices.
- Our hosting provider for the servers the Service runs on.
- jsDelivr, cdnjs and Google Fonts deliver code libraries and fonts to your browser, so they can see your IP address when your browser loads them.
Some of these providers may process data outside your country. Where that applies, they use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
4. Cookies and local storage
We only use storage that is needed for the Service to work: your sign-in session, the titles you were typing, and a saved copy of your plan so the page loads quickly. These stay in your browser and are removed when you sign out or clear your browser data.
5. How long we keep data
- Pins and previews: 24 hours. Photos: up to 48 hours.
- Account and plan data: until you delete your account.
- Payment records: as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, and object to or restrict some uses. You can delete your account and your data yourself at any time in Account → Delete my account (an active subscription is cancelled at the same time). You can also contact us and we will answer within one month. If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK you may complain to your data protection authority.
7. Children
The Service is not meant for people under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email.
